Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Domaine

la durbane

La Durbane is the name of my family’s farm, where my father was born in Caderousse. It used to be a towing inn, where boatmen who went from Beaucaire to Lyon following the Rhône stopped to get fresh horses. Later, in the 1930s, my great-Grand Father Fernand used to train workhorses which he sold to wine-growers in Châteauneuf du Pape.

Thomas and Florence  have lived in Switzerland 7 years : influenced by these cultures, we feel a lot concerned about global warming and climate change. It was an evidence for us to start a conversion to organic farming as soon as we took the estate over. We will be certified by Ecocert from vintage 2023.
